Seasonal Approaches for Visit Anchorage
Visit Anchorage launched their ‘Urban and Wild’ Campaign as a COVID recovery campaign. It positions Anchorage as the place that connects the best of Alaska all in one place — where awe-inspiring open spaces meet city comforts. Visit Anchorage was looking for ways to translate this campaign into seasonal social campaigns to drive bookings.
Not Like Other Winters
Alaska in winter? You’re probably picturing endless darkness, bone-chilling wind, and shoulder-deep snow drifts. But while much of the rest of the country hunkers down for the season, winter in Anchorage hits a bit different.
THE INSIGHT: We need to get curious travelers to understand that winter in Anchorage is just as enjoyable as summer by sharing colorful, fun, and full-of-life moments.
THE APPROACH: While much of the rest of the country hunkers down for the season, winter in Anchorage hits a bit differently. We need to show people what Anchorage is really like this season.
There’s Something Nostalgic About Summer in Anchorage
As the snow melts and daylight stretches into the evening hours, the city comes alive with possibility. Longer days mean more time to create memories that will have visitors eager to return year after year, excited to experience that feeling again.
THE INSIGHT: Anchorage, especially in the summer, is unlike any other destination. Due to days being longer, residents and visitors alike have the opportunity to do more.
THE APPROACH: Get travelers to think of Anchorage as more than just a bucket-list destination. Longer days means there’s more time to experience all that the city has to offer. When crafting the creative for this season's campaign, our emphasis was on weaving a compelling color story, complemented by imagery and illustrations unique to Anchorage.
